A local SEO exercise is a good way to connect research, website content and business information. Begin with a business that gives you permission to work with its details, or clearly label the project as a fictional brief.
Verify the basics first
Check the business name, address, phone number and actual services with the owner. Use consistent, accurate details wherever you are authorized to update them. Do not invent branches, opening hours or delivery areas.
Answer a local visitor’s needs
Create an outline that explains what the business offers, where it operates, how to contact it and what to expect. Helpful content should answer a real question rather than repeat a city name throughout the page.
Review the business profile
With the owner’s permission, check the category, location and other information in the business profile against current provider guidance. Use the genuine business identity rather than adding promotional keywords to the name.
Check the website experience
Try the phone and directions links, read the page on a phone and check whether important information is easy to find. Make sure photos and claims genuinely describe the business.
Document what you changed
Keep a before-and-after record of your recommendations and the reason for each one. If you do not have real search data, say so. A checklist is useful portfolio work, but it is not evidence of a ranking improvement.
